Ask for a workspace

Setting up takes about four minutes

Install, sign in with the workspace invite from your admin, and choose which projects should appear. Driveless shows up under Locations in Finder with your whole library at full size; nothing downloads until you open something.

On a shared office link, install the studio cache on one always-on machine first — every client on the LAN then finds it automatically.

Cache size: Default 20 GB, adjustable from 5 GB to the whole disk
Internet: 100 Mbps for proxies and H.264, 300 Mbps for camera-native 4K; high-bitrate masters cut on proxies or from the studio cache
Mount path: /Volumes/Driveless, shown under Locations in the Finder sidebar; configurable
Updates: Automatic, with release notes in the app; pinned files are never touched by an update
