For studios
Built with post houses, not for "teams"
Driveless is being built alongside studios in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. The problems below are theirs; the fixes are what shipped.
5 to 50 bays, one library
OTT and international clients, terabytes a month, freelancers in three cities, and a NAS that's full again.
Today
Footage arrives on drives, gets copied to the NAS, copied again to bays, and relinked on every machine. Remote artists get a courier.
With Driveless
Ingest once. Every bay and every remote artist mounts the same drive. Your NAS becomes the studio cache, and capacity stops being a ceiling.
More clients, more versions, less patience
Campaign shoots, dozens of cut-downs per deliverable, clients who want to see v14 next to v13.
Today
Shared folders that stopped syncing, download links that expired, and nobody sure which export went to the client.
With Driveless
One drive on every laptop, review links with frame notes, and deliveries with download tracking. Versions are kept automatically.
Terabytes of B-roll, a laptop that's always full
YouTube studios and production houses shooting daily, editing on laptops, archiving to drives in a cupboard.
Today
Offloading to a 4 TB drive every week, hunting last year's footage across a shelf of labelled bricks.
With Driveless
Everything ever shot in one searchable library that uses no laptop space. Pin this week's project; leave the rest in the cloud.
Models and point clouds across sites
Revit, Rhino and scan data are large and shared between offices and site teams. We're validating latency-sensitive workflows before promising them.
Today
Models emailed as links, site teams working from stale copies, and a server only the head office can reach.
With Driveless
One library across offices with the same paths everywhere. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you when it's ready for your stack.
Studio cache
Wire speed for the fifth editor, not just the first
A shared office link is what makes cloud editing feel slow in India. Eight editors on one 300 Mbps line opening the same project means that footage crosses the internet eight times, and everybody gets a slice of the line.
The studio cache fixes that in software. Install it on any machine in the office that stays switched on — the NAS you already own, a spare Mac, a render node — and it pulls each file over your line once, then serves every editor across the LAN. Nothing to buy, nothing to ship, nothing to rack.
It also warms up tomorrow's projects overnight while the office is empty, so the morning starts fast.
- Runs on
- Any Mac on the office network; a Mac mini in a cupboard is enough
- Storage
- Whatever you give it — 500 GB covers a project, 4 TB and up suits a busy studio
- Network
- Any LAN; quicker on 2.5 or 10 GbE, perfectly fine on gigabit
- Setup
- One installer. Every Driveless client on the network finds it automatically
- Pre-warm
- Active projects pulled overnight; schedule per project
- Price
- Included with Team, Studio and Enterprise plans
An edit floor mid-project: four bays working from the same library, no drive towers under the desks. Shoot it at a design-partner studio once the cache is running.
NAS migration, done for you
Most studios have 20 to 100 TB on a NAS that nobody wants to touch. We move it.
Copy
We connect to your NAS and start a checksummed copy into your Driveless library, keeping folder structure and file names exactly.
Verify
Every file is verified against its checksum. Projects are opened on a test bay to confirm nothing needs relinking.
Switch
Editors mount the drive at the same path the NAS used. The NAS becomes the office cache or a cold backup, your choice.
Design partner programme
Ten studios shape what ships. In return for three months free, the studio cache set up and a weekend migration, we ask for a weekly 30-minute call with your head of production, honest bug reports, and permission to film a short case study once you're happy.
